01Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how DigiFee Mitra, the fee lookup and payment portal operated by Lotus International School, Alikhan, Pathankot ("the School", "we", "us"), handles information when a parent or guardian ("you") uses the portal to check fee status or make a payment.
02Information you provide
To look up a student's fee record, you enter the student's admission number and, where asked, a registered mobile number. This information is sent directly to our secure server for verification and is used only to match your request against the School's own office records — it is not stored on your device.
03How we use school office records
Fee balances, due dates and receipt details shown on the portal are read directly from the School's official records at the moment of your request. We do not maintain a separate public copy of student fee data outside the School's own systems.
04Payment information
All payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. Card, UPI and net-banking details are entered directly on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never seen, transmitted through, or stored by DigiFee Mitra or the School.
The amount payable is fixed on our server before checkout opens, so it cannot be changed from a shared link or by editing the page.
05Data storage & retention
Successful transaction records (amount, date, payment reference) are retained in the School's Firebase-backed database for reconciliation and receipt purposes, in line with the School's standard record-keeping requirements.
06Cookies & local storage
The lookup portal does not use tracking cookies and does not save your admission number, mobile number or fee details in your browser's local storage. Each visit performs a fresh, encrypted lookup.
07Third-party services
The portal relies on a small number of trusted service providers to operate:
- Razorpay — payment processing
- Google Firebase — secure data storage
- Cloudflare — request verification and abuse protection
- WhatsApp — optional support conversations you choose to start
Each provider processes data only to the extent needed to deliver its part of the service, under its own privacy and security terms.
08Children's information
Fee records relate to students, most of whom are minors. The portal is designed to be used by a parent or guardian on the student's behalf, and no student is asked to enter information directly.
09Your rights
You may ask the School office to review, correct or explain any fee record shown on the portal. Since data originates from the School's own systems, requests are handled by the office rather than through the portal itself.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the portal evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
