1Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to fee payments made online through the Lotus International School Fee Payment Portal. School fees are charged for educational services and seat reservation, and are therefore largely non-refundable except in the specific cases described below.
2General Policy
- School fees, once paid, are generally non-refundable, in line with standard school fee policy.
- Fees are charged towards tuition, infrastructure, and academic resources allocated for the relevant term/session, regardless of attendance.
- No cancellation of a successfully completed fee payment is possible once it has been recorded against a student's account, except in the case of a technical/duplicate payment error as described below.
3Duplicate or Failed Transactions
Occasionally, due to technical issues, an amount may be debited from your bank account/UPI but the payment may not reflect as successful on this portal, or you may be charged more than once for the same fee installment.

| Amount debited, payment not reflected as successful | Automatically reversed by the bank/payment gateway within 5–7 working days. If not, contact the school office with your transaction reference. |
| Duplicate payment for the same fee head | The excess amount will be refunded to the original payment source, or adjusted against the next due installment, at the parent's request. |
| Payment gateway technical error | Handled directly by the payment gateway (e.g. Razorpay) as per their reversal timelines; the school will assist in following up. |
4How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for a duplicate or erroneous online payment, please contact the school office with the following details:
- Student's name and admission number.
- Date and approximate time of the transaction.
- Transaction reference / UTR number / payment receipt.
- Bank account or UPI ID to which the refund should be credited (if applicable).
Verified refunds are typically processed within 7–14 working days of the request being approved, depending on the bank/payment gateway's processing time.
5Withdrawal, Transfer Certificate & Advance Fees
Refunds related to a student's withdrawal from school, or fees paid in advance for a future term, are governed by the school's official withdrawal and fee refund rules as approved by the school management and applicable education board/government norms — not by this online portal. Please contact the school office for the applicable withdrawal refund policy.
6Cancellation by the School
In the rare event that the school is unable to provide a service for which a fee/charge was collected online (for example, a cancelled event or activity), the corresponding amount will be refunded or adjusted in the next fee cycle, at the school's discretion.
7Payment Gateway Charges
Any payment gateway transaction charges (if applicable) are non-refundable, as these are levied by the third-party payment processor and not retained by the school.
8Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, particularly as online payment features are activated and refined. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
